Finally managed to find time to meet up with the bff for dinner!

We actually planned to dine at a HK cafe at Tampines area, but when we went to the place, it looked dubiously empty even though it was dinner time! And so we changed our minds and eventually settled on Thai Express.

This is me cutely saying thank you to our waitress that night.

Having been in the F&B line, retail line, and other service jobs before, I know how it feels like being the one doing all the work, and having to deal with ungrateful customers. So I always pride myself on NOT being ungrateful, and NOT acting all atas like people owe me. Which is why I always make it a point to say thanks with a smile whenever I'm out buying stuff/eating at a restaurant.

Afterall, it's only polite what!

Super hate rude customers who are black face and ungrateful one!

Anyway, here's our food!

Softshell crab with curry sauce.

Bff had almost the same thing, except without the curry sauce.

We also had this deceptively innocent-looking bowl of tomyam soup.

It was so spicy we couldn't finish it between us!

Overall, the food was alright. Bff liked it, but I guess I'm still not a big fan :X

Tmr I'm gonna be having Korean BBQ with the bff though! My favourite! :D

First few days of cny over already, and my excitement has died down ):

Back to school yesterday, and I also have class today ): I don't feel like going for any lessons, but I'm worried for my attendance, and I don't want to jeopardize myself when I'm this |_| close to finishing school!

Which reminds me.. I'd better buck up and start studying like, right about now :X

Chinatown with the Family

Visited Chinatown a week before CNY with the family and snapped some pics for them :)

No pics for me cos it was a last minute thing so I didn't put on any make up :X

I was actually in one of the pics, but with my sister's awesome photo-taking skills, she took it at an angle where my face got blocked by my brother -.-

But it's okay, cos I was in a cam-ho mood that day either..

I remember visiting my granny at her place at Pasir Ris when I was younger, and every weekend the ice cream man would come with his cart and ring his bell. Upon hearing the bell, my cousins and I would get really excited and beg our parents for a dollar each so that we could buy the ice cream *nostalgic*

Tons of new year goodies stacked up, just the way I remember from the previous years.

Before leaving the place we all had coconut juice..

I don't know why my siblings (or anyone for that matter) like coconut juice so much..I just find it meh~Like if it's there and I'm thirsty, I'll drink it. But I don't think it's all that nice.. It doesn't even taste sweet. It has a mild salt-ish taste to it..

Went home feeling all tired cos we did alot of walking and squeezing through the crowd. But a fun trip nevertheless! ^^

New Mahjong Tiles!

My mum was a darling and bought a new MJ table + set of tiles mainly for me! :D

My mum and I were joking around saying that this looks like the kind of cases that the rich gamblers in casinos pull out to show their money LOL.

"Wo yao du yi bai wan! (I want to to bet 1 million!)" and then they pull out the case and throw all their money on the table lol.

But I feel quite sian this CNY cos I forever has no enough legs to play MJ with me!!!!

But tonight mummy asked some of her friends over, and my aunt and cousin(s) are coming over too, so I can play!! :D

So angry till you wouldn't believe.

Let me ask you, what is the point of inviting people over to your place, making sure you sleep early enough the night before, have a panic moment when you wake up, worrying that you don't have enough time to get ready before your visitors come,

WHEN THEY DON'T FUCKING COME IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Yupp, that's exactly what happened to me this morning. I woke up, still feeling very sleepy, but the first thing I did was look for my phone to check the time to make sure that I have enough time to look decent to receive visitors.

And it's not until I sent a text asking, "Are you coming?"

That I get a reply stating no, like, 30 minutes later.

*claps*

Never mind that, invite visitors for a certain day, say they can make it, don't make it in the end, and push to the next day.

And so the next day comes, and guess what? THEY CAN'T MAKE IT AGAIN!

Hooray! I have wasted yet another day that I kept free for such visitors.

It's like they don't care because your time is free one. Not working means your time is not valuable?

Okay lor, win already. I'm speechless.

So now I have ANOTHER day free. What should I do with it?

I really don't know, because I'm so fucking angry I don't feel like doing a single shit.

Story of my life in rage comic:

I actually made this myself on the spot because now I HAVE THE WHOLE DAY FREE. YAY.

To be honest, most of the time, "I can't" really means "I don't want to".

Because if you really wanted to go somewhere.. Let's say USS, and you already bought the tickets, let's say, if you slept late or didn't sleep the night before, would you tell the management, "Oh I can't make it today.. Could I go another day?"

As far as I know, I THINK it is possible to change your entry ticket date to another day, but the point is.. WOULD YOU WANT TO?

Or would you just go ahead cos you were looking forward to this day the moment you booked your tickets?

In the first place, if you knew you were going to USS the next day, would you even sleep late the night before?

Obviously most people wouldn't.

But since it's such a minor thing such as visiting someone's place during CNY, nevermind, I shall sleep late, zombify myself, and just call/text to say I can't make it! :D

Simple! And I get to sleep in!

Afterall, it doesn't matter that I can't go, there will be others there, my presence doesn't matter.

But guess what? Fool that I am, I don't invite huge crowds to my place. I only invite the people who matter..

WHO SEEM TO THINK THAT THEY DON'T MATTER :D

Some may feel that I'm kicking up a huge fuss over a small issue.

Yes, this may be a small issue on it's own.

But how would it be, if I had a hundred small matters like this, and it happens to me time and time again..

YOU WILL FEEL PISSED OFF ANOT?

8 out of 10 fucking times that I organise some gathering, there will be fuck ups in logistics because there will be assholes who are "too tired" to turn up.

Time and time again I tell myself, forget it, next time don't organise already.

But no, I still don't learn my lesson.

(I'm quite sure this is not my first post berating myself on this matter)

I do it again and again.

"Hey! We should meet up soon! How about let's all meet at xxx place at xxx day at xxx time and we'll catch up and all! ^^"

On the night before xxx day "Hey! So rmb about tmr k!"

Replies: "Sorry I don't think I can make it tmr. I have work/school/sick/any other reasonable explanation in which you cannot slaughter the sender for."

*claps*

So why couldn't you have said so earlier?

"Sorry it's a last minute thing.."

If your work shift is a last minute thing...

COULDN'T YOU HAVE JUST SAID YOU'RE NOT FREE TO WORK BECAUSE YOU ALREADY AGREED TO AN OUTING/GATHERING?

Or maybe not.. Cos you get paid to work and you don't get paid to go out :)

I hate the "I'm sick" excuse.

The "I'm sick" excuse, to me, is very much like submitting mc to school. 4 out of 5 times a student submits mc to the school, he or she is not actually sick.

You are not actually sick, but you slept late, and you didn't get enough sleep, so naturally your body protests, and convinces you that you're not feeling well, so that you cancel all plans and pay back your sleep debt.

But guess what? After another 6-7 hours of sleep, you're not sick anymore! Hooray! :D

And any other reasonable explanation just pisses me off further, cos you just want to get angry at the person and just shout at them, but no, you can't, cos they just pulled a reasonable explanation out of the hat, one that you simply CANNOT blame them for, cos it's REALLY NOT THEIR FAULT, and so getting mad at them would be unreasonable.

And there goes your right to be mad at someone and shout at them.

So at the end of the day, you can only be like this pathetic dude and go:

And.. I've been officially sick since yesterday fml T.T

For most of the day I was alright, just had a minor flu and sore throat. But towards the night, I started getting a headache, and my sore throat became a throat inflammation, and my flu became blocked nose already -.-

*sigh* I feel so suay ): Of all days to fall sick I fall sick on the FIRST day of cny ):

It sucks to fall sick during the festivities cos it means that I won't be able to enjoy the goodies! I mean, I could eat all I want to, but my throat + nose feels so uncomfortable that not much tastes nice to me ):

Didn't feel much better when I woke up this morning, but at least the headache's gone.

Anyway, I gotta go shower now for 2nd day of receiving guests and visiting houses ): Feels so sucky to be sick!!!!!

Sorry this is really late!

It's almost CNY 2012 then I blog about Christmas 2011 lol. But this isn't even a proper post lol, just a post with a few photos only.

A huge bowl of yummy salad with shaved turkey/chicken (I can't remember which) ham.

Everything thing on the table was cooked by Mummy, with assistance from our maid/helper :)

I feel so lucky to have a mother who loves cooking and is so good at it too :D

Not in the pics, but we also had tomato pasta (Penne type), mushroom soup, and different homemade sauces for the pork chops and salad ^^ *yum*

Okay, maybe there's too much auto-tune in this song. I agree. When I first heard this song on the radio in mum's car, we were still discussing whether it was Jay's song or not, because it sounded like him, and yet not (thanks to the slight auto-tune)

Lil' sis's 6th

January 5th 2011 was the little sis's 6th birthday.

I made an effort to be home earlier to celebrate with the family and some of the friends of my brother and sister.

Haha I think she got some seaweed stuck on her teeth lol!

And I also bought her a cute present :D

I'm still not a fan of Hello Kitty, but I gotta admit that this is pretty cute ^^ We (mostly me and mum) actually put this together ourselves!

I have a new love for miniature toys :D

It may seem like a good thing for me to have younger siblings so that I've an excuse to play with toys at such a ridiculously old age, but the truth is that I don't even have the time even though I've the excuse ):

If I had a lot of money and time I'd definitely buy alot of toys for my siblings (so that I'd have an excuse to play with the toys)! LOL.

I've nothing to blog about already so I just paste one photo of me and my cute bunny here lol.

But say really, I've been doing NOTHING at all lately.

Go school, go home, go gym, go home, sleep, wake up, go school, go home, go run, go home..

Okay, and I occasionally watch shows on Funshion.

So anyway, yesterday I managed to finish the movie "In Time".

And here's a short summary of the plot for those who haven't watched it yet.

In a future where people stop aging at 25, but are engineered to live only one more year, having the means to buy your way out of the situation is a shot at immortal youth. Here, Will Salas finds himself accused of murder and on the run with a hostage - a connection that becomes an important part of the way against the system.

But I don't really like Justin Timberlake for some reason.. His face is much too kid-like -.- Don't hate him, just don't really fancy his look that's all..

The ending sucked.

If only they could somehow rewrite a better ending..

I'm currently hooked on this new drama!

It's a romance-comedy-and at the same time abit serious kind of drama..

And I kind of hate the girl in the poster cos all the boys like her -.-

*jealous* LOL.

Here's the quite long summary of the plot..

Zhang Xiao, a contemporary, ethnically Han Chinese young woman from the 21st century, accidentally travels back in time to the Qing Dynasty period during the reign of Kangxi Emperor after experiencing a deadly combination of traffic collision and electrocution, resulting her somehow reliving the life of one of her previous incarnations and forcing her to assumes the identity belongs to her past avatar: Maertai Rexi, teenage daughter of a Manchu nobleman, who also had a near-fatal incident in her own time which Zhang awakes from.
Being stranded in the past, in the body of a centuries earlier incarnation of herself, and believe by many of Maertai’s family and friends that the sudden change of her behavior and memory loss is resulted of her head injury, Zhang Xiao awares that there will be a dangerous power struggle known to history between the scheming princes for the throne, which will results Aisin-Gioro Yinzhen to succeed as the Yongzheng Emperor after his father’s death. When a person zou tou wu lu (aka forced into a corner), will they all choose to just commit suicide or something?

I never used to understand why ANYONE would choose to end their life, but I think now I kind of understand. I used to think that there is ALWAYS beauty in this world and we should all live to appreciate it.
But now I know better.

It's not the presence or absence of beauty in the world that forces anyone to end their life.

Sometimes life just forces people into a corner, and it gets so frustrating. There's no release.

I typed and backspaced this post repeatedly. Really, there's not words to describe how I feel.

I am full of tears and frustration inside me.

It's so tempting to just snuff out the breath of life within me.

No more fights, no more frustrations. Just sweet relief.

Mummy's 49th!

Okay, I'm finally posting up photos of mum's birthday 3 months after it has passed -.-

Been kinda lazy to edit the photos lol.

So anyway, here goes!

For mummy's birthday we actually had dinner with the family, cousins and grandmother, at Long Beach ECP.

That day the little sis was dressed up in the cutest pink dress and an even cuter white fur cardigan!! *envy*

And for once she looked cute LOL. Look abit korean-ish some more!

Normally she's not cute cos she acts like a monster one!!

Omg all my favourite food! :D

Especially love the soup, bamboo clams, and chilli crab! I'm not so into prawns, although the mai pian xia was nice :)

I wanted to try it ever since I found out that such a dish exists, and I finally got to try it!! But it was disappointing.. Not what I imagined it to be ): It's supposed to have more yellowish sauce that's "drippy" like the chilli sauce one.. Not this hardened greyish thing.. )))): *super sad*

But taste-wise it wasn't all that bad.. Just not what I expected, and definitely not worth the price!!

So fast the little girl (Marie) that I and her sister used to bully when playing games as kids grow up already!! Yi zha yan and WE ARE OLD LE OMG ): *drama*

After all the dishes came and everyone had their fill (or more), we brought out the cake!

Mummy initially planned not to have a cake, cos she said that it was troublesome to go find one plus she so old already. But I decided to get one anyway cos I didn't know what present to buy for her (my mum is super picky and our tastes are very different!) and I was quite confident in choosing a cake for her!

I knew my mum especially liked almonds, so I picked out this simple fruit and almond flaked cake for her :)

Nothing too fancy, but still nice :)

As it turned out, Mummy DID like the cake very much and I was happy! ^^ Plus it was quite yummy and everyone else liked it too :D

From the photos you can see that the cake was mounted on a very nice stand with flowers and dry ice underneath it!

The staff of Jumbo restaurant were really nice, and they did this out of their own initiative!

When we reached the restaurant we just asked them to put the cake in the fridge for us which they obliged. And when I asked them to take out the cake for us, I expected them to just hand us the box that's all.

But to my surprise they did this for us! ^^

A simple gesture, but it still showed their initiative and made us all happy :)

The kids (and me) in particular had alot of fun playing with the dry ice after the cake was cut. hahah.

All in all, I commented that I was happy with the food & service we received that day at Long Beach, but it was all pretty pricey..

Mummy commented that although we all had fun eating together and celebrating, she felt that the food standard wasn't that great. Not good enough to justify the price also, and that there were better seafood restaurants out there.

So I conclude that if they one day drop their price (by alot), I may visit the place again!

But at the moment, although we had a good experience there, the price really isn't justified..

Meanwhile, I'd look forward to visiting and discovering other seafood places! :D

But I'm proud to say that for once I picked up something not so flaky for reading.

"Empress Orchid" is book about the last Empress of China before the dynasty fell or something. I may be wrong about some terms lol.

But it's written from the view of the Empress herself, and it's really interesting!

I'm already halfway through it ^^

First day back at school, 2012

First day back at school today!

School went fine, except that I had a 8am class and I was late for it as usual :/

The 8am class this morning was a class on Psychology, and expecting the same tutor as last term, I was surprised to see someone else teaching at the front of the class this morning.

I still had to look around for my classmates to make sure I had the right class..

But honestly I feel that the change in tutor was a right move for all of us students :D

Even though the previous tutor we had was nice and fairly interesting, the tutor we now have is even better :D

She knows as much stuff as the previous tutor, but additionally, she's so lovable and cute too!! She's so animated during her teaching, with so many stories to share, it was hard to fall asleep in her class even though I usually nod off during that class! There was just so much to learn and she taught everything so well!

I'm looking forward to more of the classes, but sadly graduation is coming soon.. There isn't much left of this term even though it only started..

Don't get me wrong, I still wanna graduate asap, but it'd be nice to be able to continue taking Psychology with this tutor!

Anyway the rest of the day passed quickly.. Lunch with Renee, short tutorial after that and I went straight back to tamp to run some errands and then home to catch up on my sleep cos I slept late the night before.

Right now I'm nursing a slight tummy upset while blogging this.. Don't know the cause of the upset either.. But it's making me feel uncomfortable ):

Zoo trip 2011 (part 2)

And so, I've learnt a bit more about collaging and stuff, and I managed to collage and "decorate" all the remaining zoo trip pictures! ^^

I don't like animals that can't even respond to you when you're talk to them or trying to play with them. This is why I can't keep fishes. I'd get really bored with them..

The siblings got to ride on the horses!!!!

I wanted to ride on the horse too! But apparently it's only for kids aged 12 and below T.T

But the horse ride lasted like about 1minute at the most -.- Just went around a tiny circuit.. For $6 each somemore!

But okay lah.. For the kids to experience..

While the sister had her fun playing at the huge water playground, the rest of us went to the KFC nearby to fill our hungry tummies ^^

It's the last day of 2011

It's the end of the year again..

As always, it will be good to do a "wrapping up" post. Like a summary of some sorts of 2011.

I'm determined to keep this short, cos 2011 has had alot of bad, and yet some good as well.

The bad bits are mostly.. The mistakes I've made, which I hope to gloss over completely :X I mean, I learnt my lesson already what! So let's just not go into details k!

Some more interesting happenings which we can go back to would be.. (in no particular order at all)

a) I finally got a bunny! :D One of my happiest days this year! Was soooo happy when I brought the little bugger home ^^ I love him so much I tend to keep looking towards his cage and stare at him whenever I'm in the room :D

b) I finally visited Mindcafe with my VACH girls ^^ I wanna go back there sometime soon! It's fun and the food's not bad :)

c) I GOT ADDICTED TO 9GAG :D Sorry, no blogpost for this.. But click on the link and go directly to the website! :D If you haven't already sold your soul there, go there and do it now!

d) I participated in a showcase for the school's retail shop with other SP students! Was an interesting experience :)

e) Uh, I created a tumblr which I've been neglecting lol.

f) I went to Universal Studios!!! :D IT WAS SO FUN I WANNA GO AGAIN! :D

g) I also visited the Merlion Hotel. Super big deal cos it was so exclusive it only existed for like about 30 days or something! The room was huge and the TOILET. HAD. AN. AIRCON. INSIDE. IT. :O

h) I finally dyed my hair gold-blonde! Super love it and I want that hair colour back again! I don't care if it makes me look ahlian.. I miss it and I vant it backkkk!

i) The VACH girls and I finally got around to making cupcakes after.. almost.. FIVE years of talking about it throughout our friendship!

j) I had my name written in Latte Art!!! :D Felt so special heehee ^^

k) I attempted vlogging for the first time.. AND GOT LAUGHED AT LOR WTF. ): Ah well, at least I tried.. Maybe next time I will try again!!

l) I tried Gyaru make up for the first time! I'm not a pro, so I didn't get like the best results or what.. But I think I did not bad leh.. :)

m) I managed to go to the Dog Haven at Serangoon Nex! The food there wasn't very good.. But it was a pretty good experience overall ^^

n) I had the luck to try modelling for a blogshop (just like I always wanted!) I wanna do it again! Any blogshops want me? :D Please? *puppy eyes* LOL.

Okay.. And most significant of all.. I fell in love.. Damn cliche ending I know omg. *facepalms myself*

And I really don't wanna jinx it so I'm not gonna go into much detail.

Just gonna briefly say that there's happy and sad, tears and joy.. Most of all, even though there have been good times, it hasn't been easy, but we're both still trying to learn more about loving each other :)

Okay, anyway that kind of wraps up my post.. I'm quite bullshit lol. This post turned out not SO brief afterall hahaha. I initially thought 2011 was pretty boring cos I didn't achieve anything.. But looks like after some reviewing it wasn't that bad afterall.. I had some good new experiences ^^

R's birthday 2011

Somehow Renee's birthday celebration is usually the most "elaborate" celebration out of all my friends' birthdays.At least to me I guess..

Maybe cos this lucky girl has so many people who love her and want to make her birthday celebration special :)

The first year I knew her, Jei & I organised a bbq for her, inviting as many people as she knew cos we wanted to make it a big thing :) I was determined to make it big cos she told me about how none of her friends ever made a big deal about her birthday, and I certainly knew how she felt, so Jei & I decided to give her a big surprise :D I might have blogged about it before but I'm not too sure.. Hmm..

The second year, we didn't plan a huge surprise (well actually I kind of did but it didn't really work out in the end), but we had a good outing with close friends and her bf at Sentosa. It was super fun ^^

This year, we surprised the lucky girl with a stay at a Hotel! Plus brunch/lunch at Dempsey hill like she always wanted (her bf's great idea) :)

So anyway, I don't have many photos of that day cos I was pretty lazy, but here are a few shots that I managed to get :)

Top photo: Spicy drumlets which weren't spicy at all, but nevertheless, yummy ^^

Bottom photo: Philly philly philly which was basically beef steak pieces with cheese in a bread bun.

After brunch/lunch we made our way down to Wanderlust, where we booked a room!

The birthday girl was blindfolded all the way since after brunch/lunch cos we wanted to surprise her!

But actually I think the blindfold was redundant lor! Cos we later found out that Marc (Birthday girl's bf) actually told Renee to pack some clothes plus a swimsuit for an overnight stay, the day before, instead of sneakily packing for her as instructed!

So waste effort omg! *angry face*

Like this she sure guessed already lor! I mean, Renee's pretty smart, and I'm pretty certain that ANYONE would have guess it if asked to pack an overnight bag PLUS SWIMSUIT. Gah!

I guess the only person who might not have guessed a single thing would be Jamie. Our blur-est girl lol. *loves anyway*

Oh well, it's over already so I guess it's no use being sad about it ):

Anyway that's all the photos I got.. Sorry I is a sucky blogger cos I don't have more photos.. Wasn't in the mood cos I was still upset that I don't have a better camera!

Nevermind I will try to be more contented with what I have and make my camera my best friend again!!

Bunny in a clean cage ^^

Bunnies are very clean animals, and they love it whenever you change their bedding and ensure that they have a clean cage to live in.

However, they also don't like to have their "furniture" moved around, so whenever they sense that their cage has been cleaned, they will walk around checking to make sure that everything is still in place!

Here's a short video of Muffin walking around and being the "inspection officer" LOL.

Merry Belated Christmas! :D

Didn't manage to blog over the weekend cos I was a sloth and was busy enjoying the christmas weekend :)

Not many pics were taken cos I was too busy enjoying lolol.

Christmas eve was spent awesomely. Christmas eve lunch was with the bf and my favourite kids, christmas eve dinner was with friends and family in my own home ^^

Just like every year my mum whipped up an awesome feast :D

Christmas day I worked in the afternoon, had dinner at the Godparents' place.

And on boxing day I went out to pat tor with the bf ^^

All in all, not very exciting, but still very happy :D

Anyway I took more videos of Muffin so y'all can expect more videos of my baby bunny soon! :D

Anyway, watching this video made me think.. I OSO WAN!!

Early Christmas Pressie!

This year I got an early Christmas present..

The bf got me a cute bear with a face bigger than mine! :O

It's mega huge and can fill up my whole chair!

It's the biggest bear I've ever received in my whole 19years of existence! ♥ Mega love it! I share my bed with it every night ^^

The pinkish furry thing at the side of my face is the pair of earmuffs that I got earlier this year from daiso ^^

I'm gonna go to the supermarket downstairs and buy some apples for myself now..

Jamie's advice to munch on a bunch of apples for the next two weeks..

please please let me lose weight with this apple diet!! *prays hard*

X'mas Nails

This is my attempt at festive nails!

Just a simple design cos I haven't painted my nails in a looooooong time and I'm so out of touch!

Used the transparent polish on the right as base, one coat of the middle bottle, dabbed some of the left bottle, and finished with the right bottle again :)

By the way, the bottle of red polish in the middle is super awesome!

As you can see, it has some false nail effect, which I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean, but the result is super easy application!

It glides on your nail smoothly and evenly, and one coat is more than enough to give you pretty nails ^^

I super love it! :D

I wanted to change ALL my nail polishes to this brand, but sadly when I went to BHG to find, they only had a limited colour range for this false nail effect series ):

Well, it'll still be good to try this brand of nail polish out anyway, so maybe you all can go to BHG and get a bottle of the shade that appeals to you the most ^^

I didn't do much today except finally read up on some local sagas..

The other day Jei mentioned on Twitter to me that all the local brats who are stirring up scandals have names starting with A.

He indirectly saying that I also find trouble!! T.T

What kind of friend sial ):

Not true lor! Not my fault that I got the ah-lian-looking-for-trouble face.

I'm terribly singlish, but I can speak good english too okay! It's just a choice!

Plus I got A2 for my English O Level!!!!! *indignant*

And I totally don't go look for trouble! Trouble somehow keeps looking for me!! And I really try to keep exposure to the minimum. I'm a good girl really..

In the past few weeks I didn't even have time to "catch up" on these scandals. I just saw those few names "Aarom Tan, Adeline Chia, Adelyn Hoseboh" in a few tweets only. I wondered what they did to be trending.. but I didn't even have time to go read up until today O.O I did all the "catching-up" in one shot lol.

This ahbeng's scandal with his (now) ex-gf and their "love-triangle" is making my laugh like mad! He's singrish is so trending EVERYWHERE now. LOL.

Adelyn Hoseboh.

It's stupid enough to put your last name as some hokkien phrase. But it's another thing to slap your own mother!This 14yo skinny bitch needs a few tight slaps in the face, and a punch in the gut as well.

Adeline Chia.

Her scandal is not so interesting. Just another person slamming K-pop. I still love K-pop, but what's so interesting about someone slamming the Hallyu Wave. She's stupid, she doesn't know any better.. We don't forgive her, but we ignore her ok?

All the local scandals recently taught me something.. While twitter is a social media platform and may not be the most credible source of information, it is definitely the most up-to-date and "real-time"!

For example the cab fare raise, the circle-line break down, the red-line malfunction, the train door smashing, and more news..

All these I found out on twitter before it was even reported on the news!

And in the first place I rarely watch the news or read newspapers :/

Children these days.. Ungrateful brats!!

We went to the zoo! (part 1)

Having a bunny!

Okay, so I had a friend ask me about having a bunny because she's considering getting one, and I couldn't really convey appropriately all the tiny details about having a bunny through text message cos that would seem much to naggy.

Sso I was thinking, maybe I should do up a post on how having a bunny is like, so maybe it could help anyone who's considering getting one, but wants to be more informed about how keeping a bunny as a pet would be like! :)

* Disclaimer first: I'm not a bunny/rabbit expert, I'm just sharing my own experiences about how having a bunny is like so far, and everything stated here is either read on the internet, stuff I heard from people around me, and things that I experienced myself ^^ Info stated in this post are NOT entirely accurate.

Well firstly, before you get a bunny, it will be good to have in mind, what time of bunny you would like to have.

There are many different breeds of bunnies, but currently the more well-known and popular bunny breeds that I know of are:

a) The Netherland Dwarf (like Muffin)

b) The Holland Lop

c) The Lionhead

Out of these 3 popular breeds, I personally feel that the Netherland Dwarf would be the most breed to be raised in small homes. (But Holland Lops & Lionheads are so cute too omg T.T)

Just as their name indicates, this breed of bunnies will not grow to such a big size, meaning that they will not need such a large cage. So if you don't want a bunny that will take up too much space in your house, a Netherland Dwarf might be a good choice for you :)

Also, the Bf told me that NDs (short for Netherland Dwarves) are not as particular as some large rabbits (idk which breed he was referring to tho!), in a sense that they are not so susceptible to different temperatures.

Meaning that some rabbits need a particular temperature to grow well, and if the temperature isn't right, they may fall sick and die :/ I don't know how true this is, but that's what I heard, so maybe if anyone is interested, can go check and confirm this with a vet/rabbit expert.

Okay anyway! Back to the point!

Other than choosing a bunny (of course you may change your mind at the last minute just like I did lol), you should also roughly prepare yourself for the things that you need to get for your bunny. In summary, you would need things like:

1) A large cage

2) A tiny feeder (advised by the pet shop owner)

This is roughly what it looks like.. Supposed to be hung/attached to the side of the cage!

3) A water bottle for small animals

4) Some bedding

This is the brand that I use currently. It really absorbs odor well!

5) Bunny pellets

6) Hay/Grass for bunnies

Anyway, to make this post abit less wordy, I took a short video of Muffin in his cage to show you all! ^^

Anyway, if you watched the video, you can see that there are these long dark chocolate-coloured pellets that are left in his food bowl which he refuses to eat. Basically, the pet shop owner did warn me that bunnies are tiao shi (picky eaters).

And so he warned me not to refill the food bowl until Muffin has finished EVERYTHING in the bowl.

I also read the feeding instructions on his packet of food pellets, and even the manufacturers also warned about this, and advised no refilling until all the food is gone, otherwise the food will get stale and wasted.

So after long enough, Muffin will end up eating those pellets anyway cos he knows that I won't refill his food bowl until he finishes everything.

But he also likes to glare at me and refuses to come when called cos he knows I'm not refilling his bowl on purpose -.-

Oh and another important thing!

I'm currently not feeding Muffin any fresh vegetables. According to what I've heard at the pet store and read online, NDs that are below 6 months old cannot be fed fresh greens or fruits because their digestive system are not accustomed to it yet. They will get diarrhea and fall sick and may even die.. (Muffin is 2-3 months old)

When they are older, they are allowed just a tiny portion of fresh greens. Not too much as they will also be prone to diarrhea, but they won't really fall seriously ill.

And do remember to wash the vegetables thoroughly to get rid of any chemicals/pesticides!

Basically, a bunny is not that difficult to keep, just that they tend to be a bit shy at first, and take some time to get used to you.

If you want to foster a better relationship with your bunny, my best advice to you is GOOGLE EVERYTHING.

Which is what I do. Hahahahah.

But generally, the advise is, treat your bunny gently, as they are fragile animals (in terms of handling). They can be stroked, petted, and brushed, but DO NOT BE ROUGH with them!

Because that's the best way to be well-informed. Read up, read up, and read up more! One article will never be enough to know everything about looking after a bunny.

Make Up remover (short review)

Heehee, use Muffin to "decorate" my pictures ^^

What is this I hear you ask?

Well, thanks to Nuffnang and Bifesta's genrous giveaway, I managed to get myself a free bottle of Bifesta's Sebum Cleansing lotion!

I was excited to try it out because I never tried a make up remover specialized for oily skin before!

Pressing it gently over my eyes for about 5 - 10 seconds..

All clean! ^^

Okay, in truth it actually took a few gentle wipes to completely clean off my eye make up.

But what I do like alot about this remover is that it leaves no oily residue or sticky feeling AT ALL.

In fact, my face felt dewy and fresh after I was done with cleaning off my make up!Compared to the previous remover which I used, this is such an improvement and I love it!

My previous remover was oil-based, and it always left my face feeling so horribly oily that I HAD TO wash my face with face wash immediately after otherwise I'd feel terribly uncomfortable..

And if anybody's interested, here's the fake eyelash I was using in the pictures above ^^

The funniest thing about having Muffin is that at first Mummy was all, "WHY YOU BRING HOME A RABBIT? I'M GONNA RELEASE IT AND LET IT RUN AWAY!!"

And then now she enters my room all the time to say "Hi Muffin, you're so cute. Hello Muffin! Muffin~"

Just now she knocked on my door and I thought she wanted to talk to me but she just sat in front of Muffin's cage and started playing with him -.-

I think she loves Muffin more than she loves me now ): hahahahaha!

Lenas Cafe

This is the restaurant/cafe that I'm talking about!

And on a sidenote, I just returned from tea at Lenas. Managed to try the pancakes there today and it was delicious! :D

Anyway, pictures in this post are from yesterday's visit with the Bf :)

Look at the variety of pastas available! And this is only one page out of many pages in the menu!

The cheese fondue looks awesome! If I ever manage to lose 5 kg I will reward myself with this T.T

Starters - Salad!

Anyway, I strongly recommend that if any of you wants to try dining at this place, do go at lunchtime from about 12pm-3pm because they have this awesome lunch promo where any of the mains you order comes with a salad, drink, and an ice cream.

I swear it is super super worth it for price! The mains are about $13.90-$15.90.. And they're unlike places like Swenson's where the mains are also around that price, but those with the hao liao (good ingredients) are $20++ !

All the "good stuff", for example, smoked salmon pasta, smoked duck pasta and etc, are withing the $13.90-$15.90 range! Super super worth it!

The mains we ordered that day were in the baked rice range which came in hot plates ^^

That day I actually wanted to try their steaks/grills, but suay suay their grill machine was spoiled that day so we couldn't order any of that, which is why we settled for the baked rice ):

I was a little disappointed at first, but when I tried the baked rice, I forgot about wanting the steaks and all cos the baked rice was so yummy! ^^

The Bf's bacon and mushroom baked rice in cream sauce! Doesn't it look delish? :D

Btw, you can choose from a variety of sauces for most of the pasta/rice dishes! E.g Cream, Cheese, Tomato, Black pepper, and etc.

The portion given was so filling I couldn't finish everything even though I tried my best because I didn't wanna waste food! In fact I was actually comfortably full when I finished half the plate!

The Bf ate a filling breakfast so he ate even lesser than me -.-

But he scraped most of the mushrooms out for me cos he knows that I love mushrooms :D

I gave him my ice cream and ordered fruits cos I was trying to be more healthy!

Sadly the fruits were pretty sour ): I doubt that I'd go for the fruits again ):

But all in all, I love this place because

a) Service is efficient and good

b) Huge variety of tasty food!

c) It's all very value for money!! :D

d) Ambiance is very relaxing!

Speaking about service, recently qiuqiu blogged about some terrible service received at a certain place at bugis junction.. I was really appalled by it, and disappointed by the service standards in our country..

But frequenting Lenas these few weeks made me feel alot better and I really feel like I have to blog about it to commend their service and food :)

Honestly, the service there is not like super super good, but over 10 points, I'd give about 7 - 7.5..

The staff are efficient, they don't pretend not to see you. They take your orders politely, and don't show you face colour! If your food takes awhile to arrive, they will apologise when they send your food over (this happened when I was having pancakes today).

So generally, while their staff are not like super over enthusiastically friendly, they are polite and efficient, which is very good!

Also, there's this staff which I especially like to compliment!

If I'm not wrong, this lady is called Macon (stated on her name tag).

The first time I went to Lenas it was for the Bf's birthday lunch, and she was working there on that day. Although she didn't serve us exclusively, I think she was in charge of our bill for that meal.

The second time we went there, which was probably a few days after, she was working there as well, and she asked me whether I want to take the 15% student discount again, and when I offered to go back to my table and get the student card for her to see, she smiled at me and told me that it's okay, she remembered me from the last time (when I took the discount and showed her my student card). And so she just gave me the discount straightaway.

I mean, it's nice to be remembered ^^ But not only that, alot of staff working don't bother to give customers discounts if they don't ask for it! Plus she told me that she will give me the discount for the more expensive meal, when most places will discount your cheaper meal. She's super nice lor! If I'm not wrong she's probably a supervisor there or something :)

Anyway, in these past 2-3 weeks, I've been there about 4-5 times already. heheh.

And today I saw Macon working there again and she smiled at me in recognition even though she wasn't serving me.

Oh and during yesterday's meal of baked rice, we didn't even ask for the discount but they gave us the 15% discount without asking or anything. We checked the bill and we saw that they gave us a discount ^^

Secondly, value for money..

I really love love love how Lenas is sooo value for money!!

Firstly, I'd like to state that I've always been there for lunch time, so I always get free drink + salad + ice cream. So maybe for dinner time it'll be more expensive.

But really, their lunchtime promo is super super super super worth it!!! (I hope they will always have this lunch time promo I will visit them forever until I tried every single thing on their menu!)

As I said, most of the delicious mains are from $13.90-$15.90 (this is the average pricing, of course there will be more expensive items).

Everytime after I receive the bill, it will always be around the $30+ range for 2! That means each person only pays about $15!

This is wayy cheaper than Swenson's, on par with Pastamania and Ajisen.

And to top it all off, their food is SO MUCH BETTER than all these places.

I haven't been to Swenson's in quite awhile, but from what I remember, their food is just mediocre. I hate Ajisen cos their Ramen is a disgrace to Japan, and Pastamania's standard of food has been dropping like crazy since forever..

Just to wrap it up, I SUPER LOVE LENAS!!

I hope that they

#1 Don't jack up their prices

#2 Don't let Macon go, increase her pay, give her extra incentive, ANYTHING TO MAKE HER STAY FOREVER.

okay lah, not forever. I mean, who will wanna be a waitress forever right? But I hope the management treat her good while she's there cos she deserves it!

#3 Don't hire rude staff!

Cos even though I love Macon she can't serve me exclusively ): So I hope all their other staff will continue to be polite and efficient cos I'll be very sad if I have to stop enjoying their food due to rude staff ):

Hair cut!

I finally got my fringe cut! ^^

Have been leaving out for a pretty long time, and I liked it that way, but recently I decided that I wanna have a fringe again!

So the bf brought me to the salon he used to frequent, to cut my hair ^^

I got the ends trimmed as well cos the amount of dead ends I had was really ruining my style!

And I got this new leopard print grey cardigan which only cost $12!! :D

All in all today was a pretty productive day for me cos I finally got some revision books for my brother, picked up a few Christmas gifts, finally got my haircut, and visited my favourite cafe too! :D

Meet Muffin!

I FINALLY GOT MY BUNNY!!!! :DDDDDDDD

And contrary to what I posted awhile back, I changed my mind and didn't get a Lionhead rabbit.

Instead, I got a super cute baby Netherland Dwarf Bunny! ^^

The bf & I rushed down to the Pet Store at Tampines Blk 201 after dinner at T1.

We were looking at all the cute bunnies, and at first I picked up the cutest lionhead bunny in a caramel colour. I wanted it straightaway cos it looked so happy and content in my arms ^^ Plus it didn't shiver AT ALL like most rabbits and guinea pigs would when being held by new people.

But after asking the shop owner how big it would grow, I decided to look around the shop again cos he did tell me that the lionhead would grow to a pretty big size..

So in the end I decided to pick a Netherland Dwarf Bunny also in the same colour! ^^

Because Netherland Dwarves don't grow so big & I prefer smaller bunnies ^^

So bf got me Muffin with his first pay! :D Plus lots of other bunny supplies which aren't expensive on their own, but if you add it all together, they cost a fair bit T.T *heart pain*

Okay, enough rambling! Meet Muffin! ^^

Refilled his water bottle and he was drinking for up to a minute cos he was so thirsty! I was wondering why when I realised that his bottle dripped water the whole night and he must not have had enough to drink! Poor baby ):So anyway I already managed to fix the drip and all is right now :D

I'm determined to start sleeping early.

Just like Harvest Moon taught me, if you go to sleep before 10pm, you get to wake up at 6am and be able to do more stuff in a day. If you go to sleep after 10pm, you will get up at 8am the next day. If you try to make it past midnight, they send you to bed straightaway -.-

So I've been trying to chiong my FYP presentation for the past 1hr ++ and I'm exhausted ALREADY. Chui T.T And yes, I shall take the chance to sleep early too!

Anyway I took a gazillion nice pictures at the zoo!

If I've the time tmr I may start editing a few!

But seriously, I've been stressing out so much lately, so I'm thinking a day to the zoo might be a good stress-reliever for me..

I will dress up nice for the animals to look at LOL.

Been ages since the last time I went to the zoo! I think the last time I went I was 9?

THAT WAS LIKE 10 YEARS AGO OMG.

I'm suddenly excited to see what changes there are at the zoo!! ^^

Sugo Ideas

R introduced me to this website when I told him that I liked to watch Bai Wan Da Ge Xing (Million Dollar Singer)!

Love that this website has all my facourite Taiwan Variety Shows as well as Taiwan dramas!

Perfect for when you want to watch shows on your iphone and iphone unfortunately does NOT have funshion, which is what I usually use to watch shows online..

Anyway, speaking about Iphones, I'm getting increasingly tempted to just switch over to the Iphone and be done with it.. I hate typing on Iphone's touch screen, but I'm starting to wonder if all Iphone's other merits would be worth sacrificing a button keypad.. Hmmm...

Back to Taiwan shows.. I'm unashamedly in love with alot of things chinese. Variety shows, dramas, pop songs, and etc.

I honestly cannot understand why so many kids these age (my generation & younger), are so jiat kentung/angmoh pai (eat potato/westernized) one!

Anyone who speaks more than 3 sentences of chinese words to these jia kentung people are known as "cheena".. -.-

Okay, I'm gonna go be cheena now and watch my cheena shows..

P.s I'm effectively bilingual, and love both the languages I speak (Except that maybe my English is ever-so-slightly better than my chinese. Lol.)

Chicken wrap

Jamie actually suggested some time ago that I buy a chicken (roasted) from Fairprice, shred it, mix with mayo & herbs/spices, and make sandwiches with that as filling.

Such a simple but genius idea, I don't know why I've never thought of it before.

And so that was what I did today.

Bought a roasted chicken from the supermarket after I had dinner with R.

Lugged the chicken, some baby butterhead lettuce, and a loaf of wholemeal bread home after.

Prepared my chicken filling by cutting up and shredding the chicken into a huge bowl, all the while putting bits of chicken skin & meat in my mouth. hehe.

I actually planned to make the filling and chill it in the fridge till tmr morning where I'd use it for breakfast, but it was too tempting to make one on the spot for myself *greedy*

Made a wrap for myself with the chicken filling!

There was only one piece left in the fridge so I thought I'd use it before opening up the loaf of bread.

This wrap is wholemeal and really yummy! ^^

Basically my recipe went somewhat like this:

#1 Shred roasted chicken, mix in mayo (or any other sauce you like) and sprinkle a little oregano leaves

#2 Spread a small amount of butter/cheese on your wrap

#3 Place chicken & mayo mixture on your wrap

#4 Add your choice of vegetables (In my case, baby butterhead lettuce, a few slices of tomatoes and cucumbers)

#5 Wrap it up as well as you can!

And there you have it! A yummy, wholemeal wrap with chicken filling ^^

You may ask, why am I so obsessed with wholemeal?

Mainly it's because wholemeal is supposed to be less "fattening" that whatever is the norm (white bread/normal pita wrap), and is more healthy as it has more fibers and vitamins (Y).

So generally I always choose a wholemeal option if it's possible. It tastes just as yummy, and at the same time I can let the little voice in my head convince myself that I will lose fats/weight in the long run by choosing wholemeal!

Baby butterhead lettuce!

A yummy vegetable that I like to include in my sandwiches and wraps :)

I cut and rinsed all my vegetables and stored them in air-tight containers for quick and convenient usage in the future.

By preparing all your ingredients beforehand, it makes preparing a meal more hassle-free!

In this way, one would also be more motivated to start cooking/preparing their meals! ^^

Hope this would inspire you all to make your own healthy meals/sandwiches more often too! :)

Healthy Eating

Just a short, but hopefully informative post here.

Over the past few weeks, or possibly 1 or 2 months, I went to the gym alot lesser (almost never actually *ashamed face*), but I did find that I become slightly more toned, and my clothes fit a bit looser.

I never actually weighed myself much, but after listening to a lot of opinions from people who regularly work out, I can conclude that weight is actually not a very good judge of how healthy and trim you may be.

The main reason would be due to the fact that muscles weight significantly more than fats. Fats are actually mainly oil solids. And as we know, the mass of oil is so much lesser than water that it floats. So obviously it would also weigh lesser than muscles which is mainly made up of protein.

Okay, enough of the scientific garble.

Main point is, you could be gaining muscle, and losing fats, but overall you'd gain weight, so weight alone is not a good indicator of health.

Okay, but I must admit, I'm still keen on dropping my overall weight if I could.

Anyway, as I said, even though I'm still far from my ideal weight + shape, I do feel toner even though I decreased my gym sessions to almost none (sadface.jpg).

And I believe that the reason would be due to my diet.

There are many food items that make up my diet, but in this post I will only touch on the main factor which is..

SUBWAY.

I've been the biggest fan of subway ever since I discovered it I don't know how many years ago, as their sandwiches are so yummy.

If I'm not wrong, I had my first sub when I was at Sentosa with my cousins.. I think I was still in secondary school then? After a long day at Sentosa with our families, we all crowded into Subway during dinnertime, and shared different subs together :)

Since then, I have always liked subway!

Some time about 2 years ago, I changed to having wraps instead of the variety of breads that they have.

It was mainly because I read an article that said bread was one of the most 'fattening' carbs, and so I decided to change all my sandwiches to wraps, as these were a low-carb option.

It helps that I do find a wrap as tasty as a bread version, so I have never craved to change back to bread.. ^^

When school started recently, I've been having subway wraps during my break almost every single day (that I actually attend school. heheh.).

It's filling, healthy (with lots of veggie options) and delicious!

So I'd recommend everyone to try and incorporate subway into their lunches if they want to be more healthy, and possibly lose some fats/become toner..

Do remember to go easy on the sauce though! I love mayo, but I always tell the sandwich maker to only add a little bit :)

Had quite a bit to blog about, but something terrible happens in my life, and it put me off doing anything..

Spent the whole of today recovering.. Watching mindless and pointless videos to distract myself because thinking of the future scares me now. I draw up one big blank in my mind.

Tried editing my photos to distract myself. Didn't really work. My heart still feels like its torn up into pieces..

Curled my hair some time ago for school. Totally pointless, I know..

I've figured out what's the problem with me.

I'm too much of a multi-tasker. I need and want to do too many things at once.

Right at this moment, not only am I downloading lecture notes & tutorials to be printed out, I'm also blogging (duh), checking out other blogs, planning for my big secret project, doing research for my little project, and having an annoying headache.

Yes, I can now see why I have constant headaches. ):

Every single time I switch on my laptop and use the internet, I have min. 5 tabs open.

Sometimes I really feel that I multi-task too much, and it's actually decreasing my productivity.

Which basically means that I do alot and get nothing done :X

Well, from today on, I'm gonna try and constantly remind my brain to SLOW DOWN.

STOP THINKING UP SO MANY IDEAS AT ONCE.

And maybe these incessant headaches will go away.

Plus I need to get my sleep too.

Iphone 4

I've been super tempted to get an Iphone 4 lately..

I'll be honest, and say, although I'm still a die-hard blackberry fan, and i absolutely LOVE typing on a keypad with BUTTONS that I can actually feel, I must admit that the blackberry doesn't do much that is fun.. :/

Plus my blackberry is getting increasingly laggier.. Hate that the most!

But I KNOW for sure that I cannot live with typing on Iphone's keypad. I will just die. Confirm.

So even though, the Pros seem to outnumber the cons of an Iphone..

Cannot. The touchscreen typing is too much of a con for me. I'd end up flinging the Iphone out of the window if I were to have to type a tediously long message and argue with someone and Iphone starts autocorrecting the stupidest shit.

And so.. I came to the conclusion that..

I WILL BULLY R INTO GIVING HIS IPHONE4 TO ME!! :D

He doesn't think much of the Iphone4s apparently.. So I shall patiently wait for Iphone5 to come out, persuade him to get the Iphone 5 and give me his Iphone4 :D

Shouldn't be much of a problem!

At the same time, I will get the new blackberry bold.. The one that has a touchscreen and keypad as well.

:D

For now I will just snatch R's phone to camwhore and play, whenever it's within snatching reach. Heheh.

Lionhead Rabbit

R says he's gonna buy me a Lionhead Rabbit!!! :D *hops around in excitement* (Get the pun? lol)

Anyway, here are a series of "Aww"-inducing pictures that I grabbed off the net of lionhead rabbits ^^

R & I went to the pet shops Tampines 1 and Tampines mall to look at the rabbits they have there, but Tamp Mall's Pet lovers had no lionheads, while T1 only had one lionhead there.

R says we'll go the Pet shop at Tampines Block 201, and possibly Pet Safari at East Point to take a look so that I will get to choose the rabbit I like best! ^^

I'm a lucky girl :D

But first I gotta save up so that I won't go broke buying pet supplies for my little baby..

I estimate that I'll be able to get my bunny in early December I hope? An early Christmas present for me! ^^

I'm so excited for December! :D

For now, I'm gonna work hard to save up, and also think up a name for my little bunny!

Sky Blue or Baby Blue?

Would you call this sky blue or baby blue?

I think most probably baby blue.. And that's the first colour I painted my nails after many months of being too lazy to decorate my talons.

Funny story how I came to buy this colour of nail polish in the first place.

Mummy wanted blue nail polish because she's recently been hooked into painting her nails and doing all sorts of nail art.

I was walking past THEFACESHOP with R and decided to go in to buy a bottle of blue nail polish for mum.

After trying out about 5 different shades of blue on my nails, I turned to R..

Me: Eh, which one do you think my mum is looking for ah? You & her forever say the same things to me.. You 2 same wavelength one. You should know better than me cos she forever disagree with my choices one! *holds out 5 different coloured fingernails*

R: *points to the baby blue one* I think this one.. Mixture of blue and white.. I think she will like this one.

Me: *argues* But this colour looks so young leh!

(Yes I know you must be thinking why I bothered to ask in the first place if I'm gonna argue and disagree.. -.- I don't know why either lol. I just always do this. hahahah.)

Me (con't): I think she'll like this one better leh *points to a dark pearl blue which really looked pretty imo*.. It's a darker colour and darker colours are more adult! The baby blue one looks more for young people!

In the end? I couldn't decide and I bought both -.-

I went home and made a bet with R, to see which one was the one that my mum liked.. Bet $5 somemore!

End up, my mum said the baby blue one was the one she was looking for.. But she said she liked the dark blue one better leh!

So complicated.. *sigh*

Okay, I just realised that this story is totally un-funny to everyone else. LOL.

But the thing is, R is only 22, and mum is like 49 already, BUT THEY STILL SAY THE SAME THINGS AND SCOLD ME IN THE EXACT SAME WAY! -.-

There were many instances where things happened to me, and I will call them both separately to tell them, but they both will have the same reaction one -.-

The most memorable instance was this once, when I already traveled all the way to CCK (and was continuing on to gombak) from Tampines for my driving lesson, when I called my instructor to say that I would be reaching soon.

Turns out, he penciled in my lesson on the wrong day! We arranged for Thursday, which was the day that I went down, but he wrote my slot on a Friday instead, and he couldn't teach me on Thursday cos another student already took over my slot knn!!!

I called my mum to tell her about it..

First thing she said?

"Huo gai! (You deserve it!) See lah! Who ask you don't call your instructor to confirm first before you leave the house! And who ask you go take driving at Bukit Gombak side so far! If you take at ubi it won't be so troublesome!"

And so she went on, happily dissing my misfortune while telling me, too bad, suck thumb, just go home.

Next, I called R..

I will cut this whole thing short and just tell you that he said EXACTLY the same thing as my mum, just in slightly different words. But main point was,

a) My fault for not calling my instructor before leaving
b) I deserve it for applying to take driving at gombak
c) Suck thumb, go home.

*sigh*

They really both same wavelength one..

Hahaha, I just realised, that if you bothered to read my 2 long and pointless stories, you'd probably have wasted 5 minutes of your life.. 10 if you're a slow reader lol.

Nevertheless, have a good week ahead! I shall paint my nails in the dark pearl blue that my mum apparently likes better and I will show it to you all soon! :)

Raindrops on roses..

The weather has been punking us recently. It can be really hot and sunny as well as cold and wet all in the same day.

While I normally appreciate change and variation, this kind of weather really isn't doing much for my body.

Just this morning, I began sneezing multiple times, and until now, my nose has been feeling itchy all the way and I've been sniffling alot too.

On top of that, I get that kind of inner body heat that one gets when a fever is coming on.

Add on, feeling sleepy + weak.. I truly blame the weather. I am normally not such a fragile person and am not so susceptible to falling sick due to the weather.

Rainy weather always makes me think of rain boots, or if you'd rather, wellingtons.

I've always wanted to get a pair of cute wellingtons, just like this pair! (Yes I will wear it our okay!)

I've seen some retailing in stores around Singapore, but the 60+SGD really does not justify me buying a pair at the moment ):

I still have so many other things to spend $60 on, so spending it on a pair of wellingtons.. Let's just say it's just not gonna happen yet ):

Met up with Jamie for lunch during my Wednesday break, and I conveniently penciled myself in for lunch every Friday with her in her schedule. #buaypaiseh

Modern Comforts

I'm happily holed up in the library now, waiting for time to pass before I go off for work :)

Sitting in a comfy armchair with the aircon temperature at a perfect level, happily tapping away at my laptop, about to edit photos and schedule posts on this blog.

I think we often underestimate the simplest pleasures of life, and often blow up the hurdles that we come across in life.

I admit that I do that very often, but I'm feeling kind of positive today ^^

Had early lunch with Jamie today, and while I was talking to her, I was fiddling with my hair at random, and she convinced me that what I was doing was nice and I should tie my hair into 2 side tails lol.

What do you think? Nice or not?

So all in all today's a very chill day. These 2 weeks in school have been chill so far, just that I'm afraid the barrage of work will come and bombard me very soon.

Other than that, life has been peachy, except that there are people who think I'm stupid/deaf/blind.

I used to be an aggressive person a lot of the time.

But just because I choose to close my eye to what others are doing, doesn't mean that I cannot hear whispers/smothered giggles or see those nudges.

Just because I keep quiet, doesn't mean that I can be pushed around.

Just because I don't deeply discuss these matters in front of those people, doesn't mean I have nothing to say.

I keep quiet because I'm not a trouble-stirrer. At the moment.

My life is fine as it is at the moment, I choose not to waste time on people who are not worth it. Just don't push me.

Just because I'm now trying to adopt a calm and reasonable demeanor, just because I'm trying to be good and trying to avoid conflict, doesn't mean I cannot fuck other people up when being pushed.

Okay, sorry, it's the weekend already and I should lighten up abit :)

Hi, a short post here just to let you all know that I'm still alive.

Haven't been scheduling posts here for the past few days cos I've been mostly busy working.

School has been kind of a drag, because we don't get paid to study (I don't take allowance anymore), and I just cannot wait to graduate!

However, this semester is actually the best out of all 3 years in SP, in terms of the modules taken.

For one, I think I have lesser modules than all previous semesters, which results in a more chill timetable. (This should have been the way all along!)

For another, the modules this sem seem to be more interesting. Alot of interesting discussions in class. Discussions about things like ethics etc. etc.

But I still can't wait to graduate.

This was us being unglamourously made up in a public toilet..

Cos apparently there was no where else for us to do our make up.. *shrugs*

Hopefully I can buy them again soon!! Or better, that I can find a design just as nice, online. And hopefully they'd be yearly lenses as well!

Yes, as the title says, my hair is no longer a "gold-blonde" colour ):

Sad face because my new hair colour wasn't what I wanted at all! ):

My hair now looks almost black *cries*

This is what my hair looks like in a restaurant with orange-yellow lighting..

But at normal room lighting, it looks more like this..

So freaking sad cos this colour is totally not what I wanted ):

I wanted light ash green brown shade.. But come out the colour so dark ):

Plus the salon sucked.. Located at lavender, but felt more like a neighourhood salon..

And I only went there because I cheapo + broke & went to buy a coupon on groupon!

Will never go back there again!

1) Service was quite bad. - The girl (more like auntie actually, seeing the way she dress and talk. But like a young auntie cos she didn't look that old) serving me was Malaysian, and she couldn't really understand english that well T.T

When washing my hair, she kept on unintentionally scratching my ear, and way actually leaked down my back when she tried to clean the hair dye that got on to my back fml T.T

2) They had only one colour book with very limited colour ranges..

And I could go on and on but I don't want to.

I just wanna forget that terrible experience.

Okay but I have to admit, the girls there did try to be as nice to me as they could. Like they didn't attitude me or what. They just didn't have as good service as other salons..

Well anyway, in short, next time I wanna get my hair done.. I'll go to somewhere that's more well known, and spend more money so that I can get better treatment..

I'm sad about my current hair colour, but on the bright side, mum likes it, Renee says it makes me look less ah lian, and I realised that in the next few months I won't have to be so concerned about re-dyeing my hair because the roots won't be so onvious when they grow out.

Which means that over the next few months I can spend more on other stuff, until I decide to dye my hair again!

Hi, I made it through the first day of school..

And I also managed to edit another nice photo ^^

For the longest time ever, I've been counting down to the last day of school. I'm not sure of the exact date, but I estimated that it might be around mid - end march.

I look forward to the day that I no longer have to continue full-time education, the last day of full-time education in my life (I hope)!

Yes, I don't see myself furthering my studies in uni. Neither would my results enable me to enrol anywhere either..

Assuming that I do fairly very (not extremely but averagely) well in this last semester, I assume that my GPA would be like a.. 2.2 at the most?

And assuming that I just pass.. I THINK my GPA might be just a 2?

I don't know.. But to be honest, I've already given up long ago.

I just want to do well enough to graduate.

And honestly.. I don't think my future is gonna be based on how high my GPA is (I may one day have to eat my words although I hope not)..

P.s I get a little pissed off when I look at this dress.. Because Yeap and I both bought this same dress a very long time ago, for close to $30 or $30+ (I don't remember). And a few months later, shops and pushcards EVERYWHERE started selling it at $10-$12. Bah!

Omg I'm super efficient.. I'm blogging about what happened ~~today~~ yesterday (cos it's past midnight already)!

So anyway, I met up with BFF for lunch cos she very ke lian.. Say that she will be alone for lunch.. But turns out when I talked to her, she said if I didn't go down to meet her, she wouldn't be alone for lunch either -.- Cheat my feelings only this girl..

We went to Lau par Sat for lunch and I had the Taiwan Bento set (above) which was very yummy!

$5.50 for abundant meat and vegetables with a good portion of rice. The bento box looks pretty small, but the amount of food packed in was more than enough to satisfy me ^^

Bff's Yong Tau Fu..

I don't understand people who like yong tau fu cos I've never liked it since I was young :X The noodles seem very plain in the clear soup, and I don't like majority of the ingredients available for yong tau fu..

But I suppose it's a good option for a healthy lunch..

After bff went back to her office, I went down to Bugis to meet up with Renee :)

Accopmanied her for lunch at Shokudo cos she was having driving lesson previously, and hadn't eaten yet..

Bought a drink to enjoy while she had her late lunch..

This is something something Macha Float, which was only saved by the scoop of ice cream on top..

Once again I attempted to budget myself, but my attempt fail T.TDidn't buy alot, but I definitely overspent ):

After spending a few hours at bugis street, we went back to Bugis Junction for dinner..

Ate at this new Jap restaurant which I forgot the name of :X

Had this Tofu Hamburger combo set which was super yummy!

Yummy food deserves an extra picture! ^^

The pricing there was more affordable than I expected..

Priced around Ajisen range, but the food is like a million times better than Ajisen!

My dish was priced at $12.90, but the total after GST and service charge came up to aprrox $15!

Very worth it for the portion and the yumminess of the food ^^ heehee^^

Will go back there again soon to try the other items on their menu!

IKEA with R

Yesterday I headed to IKEA with R and my little sis to buy my much needed boxes and satisfy my cravings for IKEA meatballs!

Sad to say, the standard of their food in general dropped quite a bit ):

The meatballs were cold and hard and the tomato sauce pasta had a slightly bitter taste to it.. ): Not to mention the pasta was cold and stuck to each other T.T

The soup was still fairly acceptable..

But changing from bowls to wide plates for the soup meant that the soup got colder more quickly too.. ):

I looked terrible yesterday without make up, and flashing my currently terrible complexion for the world to see, but thankfully, my lousy blur camera meant that most of the blemishes were hidden without much photoshop needed!

Added an instagram-y feel to the photo to make it look less boring too ^^

P.s My roots look terrible in this photo!! ): Looks worse in real life I tell you ): Can't wait for Monday's hair appt to get it dyed again!!

I think I've managed to celebrate bff's birthday for her every single year since her 17th!

Last year was a party at her place with a number of her other friends, but this year we had a quieter celebration for her..

Cheryl & I decided to bring her somewhere special for lunch ^^

And seeing as her boyfriend couldn't make it to celebrate her actual day with her because of NS, Cheryl decided to bring his presence among us through..

Brought out the cake we decorated for our darling girl!

Just to note first: Food For Thought actually has a charge for bringing your cake to eat at their place, which I didn't know about. But apparently it's common for restaurants which serve their own cakes and desserts..

According to the birthday girl who's studying tourism and such lol.

But personally I've never encountered such a situation until that day..

And well, I looked at the waiter with my don't mess with me face and said, "Well, we did see a cockroach in your restaurant".. (We really did! They killed it and got rid of it)

To which he replied.. "Uh I'll go check with my manager to see if it's okay to have your cake here.."

And he came back and said that they would make an exception for us..

I turned to Cheryl and told her.. "Lucky we had our food already otherwise they might spit in our food. We can't come back here anymore.. They'll spit in our food next time." LOL.

And then we proceeded on with the cake, and stories of places that we worked and actually seen/heard of staff spitting in the customer's food :X

Yummy + (sorta healthy?) supper!

Just had this for supper!

Bacon, plus lettuce to complement and offset the sodium + fat in the bacon.. Makes me feel a little healthier LOL. #cheatmyselfonly hahaha.

Today I was working at Soju Bang again, and normally I'm alright with watching people eat the meat and not get to eat.That's because usually we get fed dinner before we start work, and get to have supper after we finish work.

But this time, suay suay the dinner we had dinner have much meat. Mostly it was seafood in our stew. (But I liked today's stew cos it was the soy bean paste one, plus there was flower crab in it! ^^) Then for supper, damn suay.. It was stew AGAIN. 킴치 찌깨 (Kimchi jiggae), with Saba fish.. Fml, the fish that I like the least T.T

And somehow during work today, I was craving meat SO BADLY T.T

I think cos the whole day before work I hardly had any meat at all..

During supper I tried to convince myself that fish was kinda like meat, and helped myself to a piece. But nope, sadly it didn't satisfy my craving at all ):

So after work, I went to the 24hrs NTUC near my place and grabbed a pack of bacon.

CANNOT TAKE IT SIA, whole day watch people bbq meat in my face and eat!

But never mind, I can has bacon now, and I feel so happily contented ^^

Not too full, but just nice :D

Anyway, since I'm already talking about work..

One thing I CANNOT STAND seeing at work is, FOOD WASTAGE.

I swear if I owned the place, I'd confirm charge wastage.

Damn wu hua (worth it), it charge wastage lor!

Apparently it's written in a huge sign in the store that wastage charges go by $20 per 200g. And each table definitely wastes at least 200g - 400g of food!!

Sadly, the sign is put there for show only.. The manager never charges for wastage one T.T

When clearing tables, the sight that angers me the most is huge pieces of raw meat left on the plates that people didn't manage to finish..

I mean, yah lah, I know it's a buffet, but if you can't eat finish, don't be so greedy and take so much lah!

And today I also cleared a clean bowl of rice away..

*sigh* Cannot eat finish so much rice.. PLEASE DON'T TAKE.

Over 4 days that I've worked, I've cleared away SO MUCH edible food, just cos people are greedy and take MUCH MORE THAN THEY CAN EAT, simply cos it's a buffet.

I believe that it's entirely possible to eat within your means, AND make your $22 worth it.

#1 Take food only for yourself.

As I had buffets before, and I also dined at 2d1n with Renee & gang before, I realised what largely contributes to the huge amount of wastage..

Because we are all caring souls (read, greedy pigs who are trying to hide our kiasu and greedy side), we tend to visit the buffet table, take more food than we can finish, and pretending that we are taking for all the people at our table! (This is only applicable to steamboat & bbq buffets, because for the already cooked food buffet, everyone mostly takes their own food.)

So the solution is, like the cooked food buffet, TAKE ONLY FOR YOURSELF.

Then you won't have a situation where 2 people takes a huge plateful each of the same kind of meat/side dish to share with everyone.

#2 Stop being so f***ing greedy!

Let me tell you.. The pack of bacon I just bought cos (rounded up) $4. Inside was about 6 - 8 thing slices of bacon (which don't look as fresh and nice as those at 2d1n).

I also know that a small pack of maybe 100g of package kimchi costs (rounded up) $3.

Not to mention that the huge chunks of beef cost at least aprrox $5+ per 100g or sth, at the super market..

Okay, I'm not gonna list down the pricing of all the food available, but my point is..

If you take everything moderately and only for yourself, you could eat up more than $22 worth of food (based on super market pricing)..

Don't need to be greedy, take so much, and end up wasting food!

I mean, even if the restaurant doesn't state charges for wastage, one should still be responsible and think of starving children in africa!!

Okay, I've done enough nagging.. Gonna go to sleep now..

Yes, I know I promised a birthday post previously.. But before that I schedule another one first!

Scheduling blogposts is getting addictive lol.

BEST DANCE EVER.

In my opinion, out of the many covers that I watched, the one with the best dance is this one.

Watch and you will understand.. Their dance moves are seriously the most most powerful!

And you know how sometimes some people will over exert when doing dances and then it looks awkward? This one doesn't at all.The dance moves are perfect I swear. I can even say that compared to the original live that I posted way up there, this one owns it.

But then again reasonably saying, the original 2ne1 had to sing as well as dance so it's perfectly excusable that their moves are not all that powerful.

But 2 things that I didn't like about this cover was #1 the videography. Everyone looks so small and there's no like close up/change in scenes/etc which would have looked nice imo. And #2 the song was echo-ey.

So anyway, this group is also the group that won the 2ne1 dance cover contest by Yamaha

Being able to dance is one thing.. Having so much swag & power in their dance, copying so well that it really seems like they're the original performers is beyond awesome. I was SO impressed when I first watched this! They hyped up the crowd so well!!

That's even worse than my internship in april which was 10am-7pm, 6 days a week!

And mine only last 6 weeks while theirs last about 3 months plus I think?

2D1N Soju Bang dinner

Sometime last last week I had dinner with Renee, Jamie & Jei.

Renee heard about this place 2 day 1 Night which had awesome korean bbq meat buffet and suggested that we all go try it.

I previously heard about this place from some other friends too, and they were raving about it, so I was excited to go try it too ^^

Omg look at the meat!!

It's 44 and 46 cos there are 2 levels to the restaurant. The one downstairs is the ala carte restaurant, while the buffet is the one upstairs, which is where I'm working now ^^

Not sure how the place downstairs looks like/operates, but I do know that the chef there cooks yummy korean food because he cooks for the employees upstairs everyday! ^^

Which means that I get yummy korean cuisine for dinner every time I work there ^^ *happy*

Best thing is that he cooks something different every time so we won't get sick of the food even if we work consecutive days :)

And seriously, dinner before work starts is very very appreciated.. Because imagine if you have to work at a bbq place on an empty stomach.. Omg really can die I swear T.T

I've been so stressed lately..

As always, it's over the same issues. Not having enough money to do the things I like. Not knowing what I want.

And worst of all, being suffocated..

An Aries is a strongly independent individual.

It doesn't actually mean that I AM independent.. Because people will argue and say that I'm still depending on others in life.

But what it actually means is that I like the feeling of being independent. Of being answerable to no one but myself. Of doing whatever I like to do.

I don't do well when being faced with restrictions.

It's so very tiring.

I really can't help it. I'm the kind of person who wants to do something precisely because I'm not allowed to do it.

For example, there's this xxx situation. In actual fact, I wouldn't have wanted to do xxx. But straight after being told NOT TO do xxx, I suddenly have this great urge to do it. And I know that when the time comes, and I don't do xxx, I'd feel pissed off and miserable about not doing it.

I wish people would learn to stop restricting me.

I mean, if nobody tried to stop me from doing xxx, I might not even want to go do it in the first place!

It may seem like I'm being difficult, but that isn't really the case. It's just part of my rebellious personality I guess ):

I still think the best way of stopping me from doing something is to let me go do it.

I'd like to think that I DECIDED not to do something rather than being NOT ALLOWED to do something.

*sigh*

I haven't been updating regularly.. And that's because I've been pretty stressed out lately.

Plus, I'm not even sure what I should be updating about.. Nothing much has been going on in my life lately.

To be honest, I'm only 19.. My life is supposed to be just starting but I feel like it's already ending.

Recently I've made some choices that I'm not yet ready to share about..

At times I wonder whether I've made the right choice..

But I know that I no longer have any choice left. Ever since I made the first decision, every time after that, when I'm being offered a chance to decide again, is not really a chance anymore. I cannot change what I already decided..

Only thing I can do is soldier on, and pray.

I pray that God will help me make my choice the right one..

Haven't been able to meet any of my girls cos they've all been so busy. So I got no one to talk to. MUST. RANT. SOME. WHERE.

Spell Showcase

Did a showcase for the school's shop at the airport, also known as SPELL.

It's an acronym for something something learning lab I think.. LOL.

Hasif uploaded all the photos from his camera already, and the photos all looked so nice (his camera is awesome!!) ! :D

So I fasterly grabbed the photos from facebook & I'mma post them here too! ^^

All the photos are untouched by me (except for one), and I doubt Hasif edited any of them. He just edited brightness/contrast to some of them I think..

I'm like stuck at the back lolol. So short! Even though I was in heels I couldn't manage to stick my head high up enough to be seen clearly in the photo lol.

I really loved my make up! :D Even though you can't see from the photos, my eyeshadow was 3 different colours side-by-side and it was so prettyyyyyy!

Plus the makeup artist managed to make my eyes so pretty WITHOUT fake eyelashes! :O

I never knew it was possible to be honest. I always assumed that I HAD to have falsies to have nice eyes..

Mentaiko

Did you know, that Mentaiko actually originated from Korea???

Here's one of my favourite dishes, Mentaiko Hotate from Sakae Sushi.

What is mentaiko?

Basically,

Mentaiko is the marinated roe of pollock, and is a common ingredient in Japanese cuisine. Mentaiko originated from myeongran jeot (명란젓) of Korean cuisine and was introduced to Japan after the Russo-Japanese War.

Kawahara Toshio, a Busan-born Japanese, adapted Korean mentaiko to Japanese tastes in Fukuoka in the 1950s. The name is derived from the Korean word for Alaska pollock (mentai, 명태 : myeongtae in Korean) and the Japanese word for "child" (子 ko?).

I always thought that mentaiko originated from Japan cos it's always commonly used in Japanese cuisines and not Korean cuisines.

About the slurp up the yummy scallop topped with my favourite ingredient (Mentaiko)! ^^

At granny's place now, and I'm staying over for the night.

Brought my laptop to entertain myself too..

Today was initially a difficult day, but after a good nap in the evening, I felt much better. Always so nice to sleep on granny's bed ^^

Anyway, while waiting for my Black Geo Lenses to arrive (they're taking forever), I went to the stores and bought a pair of monthly brown lense..

I forgot what brand I bought, but I just aimed for the one with the biggest circumference available in the stores. (14.5mm)

Anyway, I've been feeling very ugly and frumpy these few weeks..

Not only have I not been to the gym in 2 weeks.. Or I think I went once in the past 2 weeks..

I've been in T-shirt and shorts and without make up almost every single day of the week.

I feel FUGLY. ):

Not that I'm lazy. Well I kind of am. But it's also because I've been doing alot of outdoor stuff lately, which results in my getting sweaty and dirty, so.. make up for what ah?

Plus I've been busy with a secret mission, so I really haven't had the time to go to the gym even though I really want to. Can feel all the fats settling around my body already )':

Genki Sushi

A very long time ago, prolly about 5-6 years back, or possibly more, Genki sushi had an outlet at the basement of Tampines Mall and it was THE place to go for sushi with my family.

But I suddenly, Sakae sushi suddenly had outlets popping up everywhere, and other sushi restaurants began opening up everywhere else too, and the Genki sushi at Tampines Mall eventually closed down.

I personally didn't hear the name "Genki Sushi' for years since then..

Yesterday, I finally met JX, and he said he'd plan where to go/what to do since I was fine with anything. And so, he told me to meet him and Somerset and we walked to Orchard Central.

I had a driving lesson before meeting him, and after lesson, I was super hungry (as usual), so I was looking forward to lunch and hoping that we'd be eating something to my liking.

Imagine my pleasant surprise when Jx lead me to a brightly lit restaurant with the name "Genki Sushi" right at the entrance! :D

The most obvious difference between the Genki Sushi that I visited last friday and the one I visited years ago, was the lighting.

In the past, Genki sushi restaurants used orange lighting similar to Sakae sushi restaurants. The new, revamped Genki Sushi had bright white lightings that gave the place an energetic and friendly ambiance which I loved ^^

But that's not all! When I sat down, the waitress introduced their ordering process which was another unique factor, different from the past GS (Genki Sushi) and the most other sushi restaurants!

Ordering was done from an Ipad!

So cool right! :D

Whatever you select will be put on this little train at the corner of the Ipad..

And when you're ready to order, just tap the word "ORDER" ! ^^

And there's a reason for this train image!

It's because your orders will then be sent to you on a real mini train! :D

And when it reaches your table (the "train tracks" run right along every booth!)..

There will be a beeping sound and this yellow button will start flashing!

Collect your food from the train, and when you're done, press the button to send the "train" back!

How cool is that? :D

I forgot what it's called, but it's super yummy with alot of fish roe inside :D

Sure super high cholesterol one, but it's so yummy it's hard to care!

Matcha ice-cream is almost always a MUST after a meal at a sushi place for me ^^

After lunch at GS we went to the Kbox at Orchard Cine, and I love it there cos the screen is flat screen!!

Oh and not only that..

Technology really taking over the world sia..

PLUS CAN RECORD SONG USING THE IPAD THINGY ALSO!! OMG OMG OMG!!

But due to some stupid unexplainable technical fault, the Ipad thing cannot connect with my stupid BB and I can't send the recorded songs to my phone!! T.T

As a result I couldn't listen to ANYTHING I recorded ):

Didn't take many cam-ho photos cos I was totally under dressed with no make up that day..

I'm now actually that way (not dressed up and makeup-less) about 6 out of 7 days a week.. Super lazy now sia.. :/

Dinner at Handburger after we shopped at F21 *contented smile*

I tell you why I'm so happy k..

Cos while I was trying on stuff at F21, and I picked out quite alot of pieces to try, so I had to queue up multiple times for the changing rooms (max 4 pieces each time), Jx was waiting for me..

And so while I was in there the 2nd time, I was trying on this leopard print top.. I showed it to Jx after trying it on, and he said it was cute ^^

After changing back to my clothes, I dumped all the pieces with the girl at the entrance of the changing rooms, except for the leopard print top, and one other top which I thought was quite nice.

I passed them both to Jx, and then I took the 3rd batch of clothes from him, to go queue and try them on again..

After trying on the 3rd batch and showing them to Jx, I eventually gave them all back after I changed back.

I reached out to Jx, ready to take the 2 pieces he was holding on to for me, and he passed them to me. Or so I thought.

I was so blur that I didn't even notice that he only passed the pink top to me, until he passed the F21 shopping bag to me.

I was like literally like this ----> :O

I looked inside and saw the Leopard print top!! :D

I was happy, but at the same time I felt SO BAD.

Like.. spending other people's money for nothing?

I kept using the bag to hit him, say he damn bad for buying it to make me feel guilty for spending more of his money (cos lunch was also on him).. LOL.

But I said thanks eventually..

He said he bought it for me cos he knew I wouldn't buy it even though I liked it.. All thanks to me being broke..

I insisted on buying dinner and then I felt a little bit better after that ^^

K, so I gotta go sleep already..

Can't wait to meet Jx again soon cos we gonna go underwater world!! ^^ :D

But still gotta wait a few more weeks cos we're both super busy.. He's busy with his 6 day work week (No lifer! Hahahahah! :p )

And I'm just always busy with life (and work also) lol.

Why can't I be born skinny?!

I want to be able to eat alot and never put on weight!!

I very unrealistically wanna look like the girls from kpop groups who have skinny arms, face, and everything else skinny!

It pisses me off everytime I read about how

WHEN IN THE FIRST PLACE THEY WAS LIKE, 165cm & 49kg BEFORE LOSING 6KG.

With max spiciness level and added chilli padi..

J found it spicy but I thought it wasn't very spicy at all..

Added tobasco sauce and the spiciness level was still meh-ish.

Gentle paws

It's late at night, but I still can't sleep for I don't know what reason, and so I went to check out Gentle Paws' blog :)

Anyway I feel so happy reading their recent entries cos I found out that quite a few of their doggies got adopted into good homes! ^^

And yes, I only found out recently cos I've been out of touch with Gentle Paws for quite a long time ):

Ever since I started working during the weekends in late May, I've reduced my visits to the shelter, and eventually stopped going when I increased my work schedule ):

Every weekend that I don't visit the shelter I feel sad and guilty ): Miss the doggies there, miss helping out and feel bad for not being present.

And I also admit I'm afraid that the other shelter volunteers will think I'm flaky and unreliable..

But that really isn't the case. Cos currently my weekend job takes up my whole day.

Honestly if I could visit & help out during the weekdays I definitely would! But sadly, due to extremely valid reasons which I heard before but don't remember specifically, weekday visits are strictly not allowed ):

And anyway, recently due to the 4 birthdays I had to celebrate in August, I'm brokeshit..

So, boh bian, have to increase work schedules to the maximum available.

Hopefully, after this weekend, maybe I can cut down on my shift and visit Gentle Paws again ^^

Anyway, while I'm not around, any dog lovers out there can go visit and help out in my place too!!

Anyway, on another related topic, I helped R bring a Jack Russel home! ^^

I renamed him Cookie ^^ :D

Isn't he cute? :D

Anyway, the story is that Mummy's colleague heard that someone had a Jack Russel that needed a new home asap otherwise it would be put down.

She called and asked me whether I had any friends who wanted to adopt a dog, but at that moment I couldn't think of any. I wanted the dog anyway, so I kept persuading Mummy but she kept making excuses also -.-

I kept telling her, "You also say it looks so poor thing from the photo. Can lah~ We keep okay? Please please~"

And she was all, "Aiya bu yao fan wo lah. (Don't bug me lah.) Zao zhi dao hui zhe yang wo jiu bu da gei ni le! (If I knew you were gonna be like this I wouldn't have called you!)"

So we hung up, giving her time to think about it..

After that phone call I left house to meet up with R. And then I conveniently (& pleadingly) asked him if he could adopt a poor little (2 y.o) Jack Russel puppy and save it from a terrible fate.. AND HE SAID YES! :D ^^

I was kind of shocked cos I didn't expect a positive response so quickly cos R was never the type to go on and on about having pets so I had no idea whether he'd wanna keep a dog or not.

But he said YES!! ^^ *jumps around*

So Mummy drove us down to pick the poor little puppy up..

The people who had him were actually kind souls who rescued him 2 days ago and couldn't keep him for long-term because they already had 3 dogs which is the legal maximum that a private home can keep.

The girl in charge of Cookie told us that they strongly suspect that he'd been abused before and changed owners twice so he's a little bit scared and has a phobia of bigger built indian men (LOL).

OKAY DIGRESS: ONLY WHEN I TYPED OUT THAT PREVIOUS LAST BIT THEN I SUDDENLY THOUGHT OF JEI.

HAHAH SORRY NO OFFENSE I GOT NO PHOBIA OF YOU DEAR, STILL LOVE YOU MANY MANY ^^

Okay, so anyway, the poor darling was super panicky inside the car because the last 2 times he was in a car he got sent away ): So I think he's super afraid of getting sent away and abandoned again ):

SO POOR THING RIGHT?

After we got Cookie into the car, Mummy sent us over to Pet Safari at East Point and we quickly picked out a few necessities to last the night first.

And then we sent R home and I kaypoh-ed went over to make sure everything was alright and Cookie was settled in ^^

I'm glad to say that Cookie settled in well for the moment ^^

Poor baby was so hungry he gobbled up the food I lovingly prepared for him!

Rice mixed with kibbles and a portion of canned food! (I learned this from Gentle Paws one! They said eat rice will feel more bao [full]. So I decided to try follow the same method too!)

First portion - He licked the bowl so clean in like under 5 minutes.

Second bowl - He ate half and spit out all the kibbles -.-

IRRITATING SPOILT BRAT.

Tsk.. Next time will have to train him not to be so picky!

But since he can be so naughty like that to pick out food I guess it means that he got enough to eat already, so I'm happy about that ^^

Will update more about Cookie soon! ^^

Last paper today!

I am soooo unprepared for it ):

I've given up hope for my grades in poly.. Just hope to pass everything and not have to forward any modules! (although I've a feeling I might D: )

Of course I'd rather I'd be able to attain better grades, better GPA, but since I'm already in this situation.. Might as well make the best of it..

And afterall, I've no plans to go into uni so my gpa not that important I guess.

Plus I still believe that getting a job after graduation will largely depend on experience, ability, or who you know, and my diploma might not make such a big difference (I may regret this statement some day, possibly. lol)

By the way I do have outing photos to post but I've been too busy to upload and edit!

Blame it on the exams!

Anyway, today is last paper! :D

So mother happy!!

But just hope that the paper later will be easy.. I really wanna pass!! *cross fingers*

And then tonight I will be Buttering! :D
